Publication Ethics & Malpractice Statement
International Journal of Commerce and Strategic Studies is devoted to upholding and ensuring the highest degree of publication ethics and ensuring that all possible means are avoided in the context of publication malpractice. The journal considers that the ethical behaviour is critical in making academic research credible, integrity-based, and quality.
Responsibilities of Authors
Authors submitting manuscripts to International Journal of Commerce and Strategic Studies are expected to adhere to the following ethical principles:
● Submit original and unpublished work only.
● Avoid plagiarism, creation of data and falsification of findings.
● Cite all sources and make references properly.
● Make sure that the article is not in revision or review in another publication.
● Answer any conflict of interest or financial support.
● Include the right author information and forward permission of all co-authors prior to submission.
Responsibilities of Reviewers
The role of the reviewer is a significant one in sustaining the academic quality and he or she is supposed to:
● Consideration of review manuscripts is objective and fair.
● Keep all the material confidential.
● Do not criticise the author about oneself.
● Report any possible conflict of interest to the editor.
● Determine what published work has not been referenced by the author.
Editorial Responsibilities
The task of the editors is to provide clear and objective publication. Their duties include:
● Decision making on publication on the basis of academic merit and relevance.
● Preservation of the secrecy of manuscripts is provided.
● Avoiding discrimination based on gender, nationality, institutional affiliation, or personal beliefs.
● When ethical complaints or conflicts arise, fair and timely response should be made.
Plagiarism and Misconduct
International Journal of Commerce and Strategic Studies does not tolerate plagiarism and unethical practices. Papers that are discovered to consist of copied information, doctored data or any other academic fraud can be:
● Rejected during the review stage, or
● Withdrawn subsequently when malpractice has been discovered.
The journal is free to undertake corrective measures towards maintaining academic integrity.
